Scripture Reading: 2 Chron.20:1-30
Until you learn how to move the heart of God, you will never be successful in spiritual warfare and until you are successful in spiritual warfare, you cannot be completely successful in life.
You may look like 'who's who' and knows 'what's what' but you will never possess all that God desires for you to have until you know how to move God's heart (get Him on your side) to fight for you and help you conquer the territories that He desires for you to have.
What's the secret?
Break down the old man and give him up. We do this when we say with a genuine heart, "It's not about me, God it's about You."
Remember the story of Cain and Abel in Gen.4:1-7?
Cam tried to impress God and sure he failed miserably. Can gave to God something he felt he had 'accomplished' on his own as a tiller of the earth. He came proudly to God saying in his heart, "Look what I've done. Bless me based on my accomplishment."
On the other hand, Abel came to God and said in his heart, "I didn't do a thing. You're the Creator of all life. I'm giving You back what You've done. I trust You with my life."
Now, that's the difference and this difference makes all the difference. God will not bless you because you are hardworking; neither will He will bless you because you've prayed so hard and have equally fasted for so long. He will bless you because you are totally dependent on Him- not your salary, connections or self-righteousness.
The point is: whatever is about Him will always move His heart towards your direction. So, today, tomorrow, let it always be about Him and not you.
Ponder Point: A man's dependability on God will always bring God on His side.
Action Point: Be humble.
Prayer Point: Holy Spirit, give me a revelation of Acts 17:28 so I can truly appreciate Your word for me this morning in Jesus name, Amen.
