Two-Faced?

Memory Verse: "And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach." (Is.4:1, KJV)

Scripture Reading:

We are in the last days when many people are taking hold of the Man, Jesus claiming to be born-again. These persons are ready to be called by His name- Christian, God's servant, Believer, Tongue-talker, Demon-destroyer, Evangelists and many more just for the singular purpose of receiving miracles- "to take away our reproach." 

Reading Is.4:1 meditatively, we will understand that these women represent false (two-faced) brethren in the end-time church. The church is the bride of Christ. The man they talk hold of is Jesus, the husband of the church.

They are not interested in eating the Lord's bread which is the word of God. They say "we will eat our own bread." In other words, we will make our own doctrines and traditions. We will keep to our worldly standards and ideologies. They've got zero interest in God's word. If it is not praying and fasting fellowship where false prophecies and visionsee are shared, they are not just interested.

They would rather place the Bible under their pilots and sleep in church with long dry or wet fasting, singing in the choir, evangelising and engaging in all manner of 'assignments' and activities than read, study, meditate, confess and obey God's instructions in His word.

These two-faced believers are not also interested in wearing the Lord's apparel which is the garment of salvation, robe of righteousness, garment of praise and the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit. They would prefer to adorn themselves with the filthy rags of self-righteousness, filthy garments of sin with a crown of pride and high level carnality.

Thou believer, God's admonition to us this morning is simple: bring forth fruits that tell others that you are a true believer in word and in deed.

Ponder Point: "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." (Ps.9:17)

Action Point: Be real.

Prayer Point: Father, break me. Chisel my flesh. Help me by Your Spirit to be a real believer in Jesus name, Amen.
