Experiencing God's Power (I)

Memory Verse: "But our God is in heaven; he does whatever he pleases." (Ps.115:3, AMP)

Scripture Reading: Ex.14:1-31.

Reading through Exodus 14 sent cold shivers down my spine. It's an interesting read on how powerful God is. And the beautiful thing is, we too like the Isrealites in Moses' day can equally experience God's power if we so desire.

God's power is strong enough to sustain every moment of your life. And every moment means every moment. Never forget this truth.

Sometimes, it can be tempting to only think about how powerful and awesome God is when we think about the size of the sea shore or  ocean.

Perhaps we only think of His power when it comes to the really big things in our lives. But then, let's not forget just how powerful God is even in our daily lives. The point is, no matter the size of the storm before us, we can experience God's power everyday!

God has got the power to perform miracles in the most unexpected places right in the middle of our daily routines. He has the power to place the right people in our paths that remind us just how good He is.

At this point I'm reminded of a quote by T. D. Jakes, "There is a higher power, a higher influence, a God who rules and reigns and controls circumstances and situations that are beyond our area and realm of authority."

He does this because of the relationship we have with Him. Through our relationship  with  Jesus, He has the power to transform our minds and the way we look at things. His arm is outstretched into every area of our lives, big moments and little moments alike. And of course, the prayers we make to Him in faith is the force that unlocks His power.

The next time you pray, ask the Lord to show up in an unusual way. Give Him full permission to completely interrupt your plans, your routine, and remind you of just how powerful He is! Remember, God desires to show His power in your storm and sometimes, all it takes is just one prayer [made in faith] to change everything.

Ponder Point: No pressure is greater than God's power.

Action Point: Make demand for God's power in the place of prayer.

Prayer Point: Pray as led.
