Trusting God Made Easy (I)

Google Image
Memory Verse: "...Let the children alone, don't prevent them from coming to me. God's kingdom is made up of people like this." (Matt.19:14, MSG)

Scripture Reading: Matt.19:13-15

Some believers seem able to trust God no matter what happens. Some cannot. Perhaps, you're in the not-easily-trusting category (I used to belong here) and you feel like, 'I could never have that kind of faith.' Are you certain about that? Don't be too quick to sell yourself short on matters of faith. I will show you reasons from God's word why for the next 7 days:

  • Anyone can have childlike faith.
Have you ever stopped to think about why it seems very easy for children to trust God? Now, I want you to go to that place in your heart's imagination. Let go of all the "grown-up" barriers you have placed between yourself and God over the years. Trust Him with whatever need you have the way a child is prone to trust a loving parent.

If you have ever been a child, you can have childlike faith. It is important that you get back there. You will need to unravel your misgivings about God and see Him as the loving Father that is He is (irrespective of the kind of earthly parental love that was shown you while you were a child) to all who know Him.

Sweetheart, can you see yourself trusting God again, or perhaps maybe for the first time?

Ponder Point: The journey to trusting God begins with believing and receiving the Person of God.

Action Point: Believe and receive the Person of God.

Prayer Point: Lord, let the power embedded in Your word break every barrier in my mind hindering me from being able to trust You in Jesus name, Amen.
