Lean In

Memory Verse: "[we pray that you may be] strengthened and invigorated with all power, according to His glorious might, to attain every kind of endurance and patient with joy." (Col.1:11, AMP)

Scripture Reading: Col.1:3-23.

As the Lord dropped this topic into my heart this morning, I began to think deeply on this subject and I also said to myself, oh how we need this message at a time like today.

What does it mean to Lean in?

It simply means to incline or press into something.

At a time such as this when everything is falling apart, we need something to press into. And what a joy we have God's power to lean into.

We have to lean into God's power as you go through the not-so-pleasant seasons of life or we will be blown over.

In  today's memory verse,  Paul  is  challenging us to be strengthened with all power according to God's glorious might. Not by our own might, and not by anyone else's but God's.

Basically, this is a clarion call for us to lean into God's power.

Oh how we need to lean in in moments when we feel as if we're getting weaker instead of stronger, when we feel as if we're moving backwards instead of forward, or even when we begin to doubt ourselves and our capabilities. Or perhaps your finances / resources are running low and you're not sure how you're going to make it. Or maybe your boss / professor(s) are giving you a hard time and you're not sure if you can keep up.

No matter what you're faced with, remember, you were not meant to conquer this world alone or through your own might.

You can mentally prepare yourself for tasks and work as hard as you can toward achieving your goals, but until you begin to lean into His power, you  will keep struggling!

Leaning into God's power will make all the difference.

Ponder Point: Leaning into God's power will get you through anything.

Action Point: Lean into God's power.

Prayer Point: Father, thank You for this word. I thank You because there is a power I can lean into. Therefore, in moments when I'm weak, down and out; I consciously choose to lean into Your power at all times in Jesus name, Amen.
