The Greatest Need of Your [Spiritual] Shepherd

DAY 5

"...Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and WHEN HE AROSE AGAINST ME, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him." (1 Sam.17:34-35, Emphasis mine)

I do not know how many of us grew up having senior ones around us. You know that sense of security that comes along with having them in your life- you can walk around [almost] freely, you can go look for trouble and run behind them with the assurance that they got your back! So, you are less likely to live in fear.
In the exact same way, that is how our Shepherds (Pastors) have been to us.

They have shielded our lives, businesses, finances, marriages, families, children...etc from the wolves and lions in the world through their prayers and or pastoral or prophetic covering.

Thank God for the material and financial seeds you give to them. BUT, that is not their greatest need.

Remember, when God stayed the hands of the wolves and lions from touching your marriage via his prayers and prophetic declarations, now the lion has risen against his marriage. Remember also, how that God used him to deliver you or anyone or anything concerning you from the spirit of death and now his life or that of his wife or children is under attack! They have prayed that you should not be stagnated in your business, career or academics and now you are making progress, alleluia...but their ministry is under attack!

Ever sat down to imagine the battles- ranging from physical to spiritual and even sexual battles that ministers of the gospel have to fight because of YOU?

Yes I know that God watches over them and they pray too! But, you cannot love them and not pray for them and everything that concerns them.

Sweets, the greatest need of ministers of the gospel is prayer, prayer and prayer!

YOUR prayers and my prayers will go a long way in their lives and ministries.

That is why we are dedicating today and the next two days to stand in the gap for [genuine] ministers of the gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER 5 of 7: "Originator of every [spiritual] calling, re-energize our spiritual leader's love for ministry, empower their actions with authenticity, season their attitudes with grace, and enable them to be faithful stewards of the grace of God on their lives so others will know that Ministry and indeed Christianity is more than a title to bear, but a calling to serve God's people in Jesus name."

Blessings!
